Dr. Zeavin has practiced ophthalmology since 1988 and joined Genstler Eye Center in 2006. Raised in Falls Church, Va., he completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech. After receiving his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Dr. Zeavin became the fourth generation of physicians in his family.
Dr. Zeavin served as the clinical director of the Chickasaw Indian Health Clinic until 1985 and attained the rank of 0-3 (equivalent to a captain in the army) as a medical officer in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. In 1988, Dr. Zeavin completed his ophthalmology residency at the Washington (D.C.) Hospital Center and joined the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He then practiced ophthalmology at the Medical Arts Clinic in Ardmore, Okla., for 17 years.
Dr. Zeavin lives in the College Hill area of Topeka and has two grown children. He enjoys fishing, golfing and going to Virginia Tech "Hokie" football games with his dad and brother.
